McKenna's Stance on The Scottish Club

McKenna referred to the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but emphasized he is "deeply involved" of a "long-term project" with Ipswich Town.

The mid-thirties took charge of Portman Road in recent years and guided the team to the English top flight with consecutive elevations, but they won just a handful of victories last campaign as they were demoted back to the second division and they presently occupy 12th in the Championship.

"There have been any of those conversations," the English capital native former Irish young player said when questioned about being on the candidate list.

"Throughout coaching agreements, there are provisions," he responded. "I don't know what my specific terms are and, were I informed, I wouldn't tell you regardless!

"I approach this role like I'll be Ipswich manager indefinitely. I understand that's not always going to be the case, but I will consistently give maximum effort as long as I am here."

The Welsh Coach's Situation

The former striker played for the Hoops on loan from the Magpies in 2005, but the ex- Wales forward is inclined to complete the ongoing World Cup campaign, a position that would practically eliminate the mid-forties from immediately taking the Glasgow position.
